Built and measured

I build AI operations systems that run a business's back office.

Dashboards, automation pipelines, support bots, and documentation systems that replace hours of manual work with software. Every number below is measured, not estimated.

This is a working copy of a customer-success command center I built and run in production, loaded with fictional data for a made-up company called Brightline Ops. Open it, click through the views, and see exactly what "a single screen for the whole back office" means.

$30,590 retained revenue credited to an at-risk customer workflow (21 customers x avg lifetime value) as of 2026-07-11
-45.9% run-time reduction measured on an email-drafting automation pipeline (shadow corpus; live confirm pending) as of 2026-07-11
-73% time reduction measured on a data-entry / form-fill automation (shadow corpus; live confirm pending) as of 2026-07-11
4 polished deliverables generated automatically from a single monthly walkthrough video as of 2026-07-04
18+ channel quick-start cards built for a support-hub knowledge base as of 2026-07-11
Case study

Customer-success command center for a services company

Problem: the customer-success team was tracking at-risk customers, renewals, onboarding, and email follow-ups across scattered spreadsheets and inboxes. There was no single place to see who needed attention, and no way to measure whether the team's work was actually preventing cancellations.

What was built: a command-center dashboard covering customer health tracking, an at-risk flagging workflow, automated email drafting with a calibrated writing voice, and an internal value/ROI engine that credits the customer-success system with the revenue it retains.

Verified outcomes: 33 at-risk customers were flagged and tracked to an outcome (21 retained, 4 churned, 8 still open) with $30,590 in retained revenue credited to the workflow, and a companion automation loop cut the run time of the team's email-drafting pipeline by 45.9% in measured testing.

Automated market intelligence pipeline

Problem: spotting where a market is growing, or where a competitive gap is opening up, was a slow, manual, once-a-quarter research exercise that got inconsistent results and went stale fast.

What was built: a scheduled, four-stage pipeline (collection, signal scoring, synthesis, ranked output) that pulls public market data automatically and hands back a ranked opportunity report with no manual pull required.

Who this is for

If any of these sound like your week, we should talk.

📋

Service businesses drowning in spreadsheets

Your team tracks customers, renewals, and follow-ups across five tabs and three inboxes, and things fall through the cracks weekly.

🔄

Subscription businesses fighting churn

You know customers are quietly leaving, but nobody can see who is at risk early enough to save them, or prove what a save is worth.

🧠

Teams whose process lives in one person's head

Onboarding, support answers, and monthly routines depend on tribal knowledge, and every new hire or busy week exposes it.

What I can build

Custom software for the operational side of a growing business, not off-the-shelf tools bolted together.

📊

Command-center dashboards

A single live view of the metrics and workflows a team actually needs, built around how the team works today.

Automation pipelines

Turn a repetitive manual process (data entry, reporting, drafting) into a measured, gated pipeline with a clear before/after.

💬

Support bots and knowledge bases

A chat-based support layer backed by a real knowledge base, not a generic FAQ script.

📚

Documentation and SOP systems

Turn a walkthrough or a process that lives in one person's head into a repeatable, branded set of deliverables.

How working with me works

Every project ships with a before/after measurement. That is the whole point.

1

Free 30-minute systems audit

You walk me through your most painful manual process. I tell you honestly whether software can fix it, what I would build, and what it would cost. No obligation.

2

Fixed-scope build, measured

I baseline the process before touching it, build the system, and measure the after. You see the exact time or revenue difference, not a vibe.

3

You own everything

Code, dashboards, and documentation are handed over and yours to keep. I can stay on for improvements, but nothing is held hostage.

Start the conversation

Tell me about the manual process that eats the most of your team's week. I will reply with an honest take on whether it is worth automating.

About me

I'm Jake Diego. I run customer operations for a growing online services business, and I build the systems I wish existed: dashboards, automation pipelines, support bots, and documentation engines. Everything on this site is software I built and actually run, with results I measured before writing about them.

If a number appears on this site, it traces to a logged, verified measurement. If something is a concept or uses fictional data, it says so right next to it. That discipline is the same one I bring to client work.
